FfH2 Bug Thread

Polar bear unit graphic blocks some text:
I had captured a polar bear, and when I tell it to rest until healed, I cannot see how many turns this will take (the graphic for the polar bear appears in front of the text)
 
I am belseraph and have a worker out doing stuff... he has the "fortify until healed" option, stating that he will fully heal in 1 turn. He hasn't always had this, i don't know when it started. Given that my worker has no strength, this is a bit odd...

I had a bluecreen crash to reboot, couldn't read what it said, it went by to fast, when I tried to look at my city screen, also had another total crash to desktop that didn't recur when I loaded the autosave.

will see if I can replicate the crash /reboot, if I can't I think I'll wait to the next patch before trying another game, as this one was just getting started..
 
Noticed all my custom game options are missing each time I start a new game. That's probably not a bug considering what happened earlier with FF game options causing problems with FfH2. Damn annoying nonetheless.

Yeah, it's not a bug. They no longer save as it was causing issues.
 
Regressing to L fixes the scenario issue. I played for 50 turns or so in a normal game, but failed to see any events, so cannot comment as to whether or not it fixes the plagued food event. I will add this note to the scenario thread.

How would one go about finding the DL for patch L again? Also, do you mean that after going back to L you have had no events at all, or none of the new ones?

I don't know about the events, but they should work fine (no new one though, but thats a good thing in this case I guess).

Patch L is here I hope.

I had the same problem, and decided to try putting my hand on xmls. (but of course with lectures from this forum! Thanks to everybody!)
Goto FFH2/Assets/XML/Gameinfo/Civ4GameOptionInfos.xml, and change values of <bDefault> of any options you want to be preset in your games to 1.
I hope it would work nice! (At least, it did in my environment)
 
patch l : built CoaTS on a Lanun city, Ocean tiles at range 3 were not workaable by the city.
 
I have very strange things happening. From time to time my units are immobile and some of them get random damage. The game runs for 50 turns (in multiplayer). The other player has the same issues.

Read up several posts and you'll see that people are having the exact same problem. It's the result of a new event in patch M that isn't working correctly.
 
I had some odd behavior by Mahala in a game under patch L: She kept offering me cows for various resources of mine. Not only did I have cows of my own, I accepted some of hers and she kept making the offer. I'm not sure this is strictly-speaking a bug or even an AI issue, but it was unusual enough to bear mention.

This happens with a number of animals. You can rotate the image of the animal (or any unit) by holding down the left mouse button while over the image and moving the mouse left or right. Doing this should enable you to see the information that is obscured.

This is a bug that's been around. It is more apparent now, since the food event bug in patch m makes this situation commonplace. Units that don't have health to lose, like workers or hawks or great people, are still marked as damaged when affected by global or AoE damage effects (maelstrom, for example). It's not a major problem (that I know of), but hopefully those kinds of units will eventually be completely unaffected by damage.
 
Yeah, I really think they should; after all, according to the lore they are the priests of Sucellus, and the ascension of God of Life is what first introduced powerful healing spells to Erebus. Letting Druids heal makes a lot more sense that letting High Priests heal actually.
 
I've been having the same problem with the event/immobile issue. For the meantime, playing a custom game and selecting "debug events disabled" has been working fine. No events, no problems. ;)

No events. No star signs or goblin posioning my land or hoary old sailors wanting to sell my their treasure maps. But like I said in the post i didn't play that long and most of my turns were composed of fortiftying my city and then pressing Enter. I got bored after forty turns or so, so YMMV.
