Hi, I tried for first time to dowload a MOD from the site and I pasted it in Scennarios folder (whithin Conquest). When I try to play the scennario the following message appeards. I tried with other new downloaded mods and the same issue.
Any idea what it can be?
Thanks!

Robeslu, welcome at CFC! :band:[party]

The advisor graphic europe_all is no normal C3C graphic, but a modded one. If this error also occurs when you try to start other mods or scenarios, it seems you have changed more than only to copy a mod into the scenario folder of C3C, as now all your C3C mods and scenarios are demanding a file, that is no standard C3C file. With the spare information about your problem (may be a wrong pediaicons file in the C3C main textfolder ?), I think it is the best to reinstall your Civ 3 Complete and to take care about a proper installation of your mod.

Btw.: What is the name of the mod, that holds an advisor file europe_all ?

Thanks Civinator,I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but still the same error.

I does not only happens with modds from Internet but also with scennarios already charged in the Steam Civ3 download.

For instance "Ancient World.bix", it starts normally but after few rounds similar message appears "file not founf" and exit the game.

A lot of the (CFC-)user-made mods supplied with Civ3Complete were basically just the .bic/.bix/.biq files (sometimes with a readme.txt), which required multiple additional file-downloads to become playable.

Unfortunately, in many cases, these downloads were made available from personal file-hosting websites which have since been shut down. And of the Civ3-Mod zipfiles that were uploaded directly to CFC in the early years, after release of the PtW (2002) and Conquests (2003) expansions, many were also lost in the so-called "Great Hack" of 2006/2007(?) (not sure of the exact date, but it was well before I joined CFC).

Your best bet to fix any "lost" mods that you're interested in, may now be to ask in the Creation & Customization section of the Civ3-forums, whether anyone has a working link to the complete versions at e.g. Google-drive or similar, and/or would be willing to re-upload them. Once your postcount is a little higher, you will also be able to "Start a Conversation" with (=send private messages to) other CFC-users, although obviously there's no guarantee that any specific mod-creator is still active here.

But as well as @Civinator, several other CFC-users may also be able to help you (if you ask them nicely!): off the top of my head, @Node60, @Ozymandias, @Blake00 and @Takhisis have all been able to help out with similar missing mod-file problems (mine and others) in recent years.

I think we cannot really help you solve that with this little information.
Have you, by any chance, actually pasted it into Scennarios with a double N?

For some reasons, some mod(pack)s are meant to be used only from the Conquests/Scenarios or only from the Conquests/Conquests folder.

Also, what is the name of the mod(pack)?

I'm not sure that I can be of direct help. I know of two "lost archives" you can look at.

One is in the Internet Archive - which can scroll a loooong way down to find the civ3 entries -
https://ia601308.us.archive.org/vie...Gamer_civfanatics/AtomicGamer_civfanatics.tar

The second is quite frustrating: it's the old Apolyton archive. "Frustrating" because it''s 762 pages unindexed and unsearchable posts, many with attachments including everything from simple gfx to scenarios:

C'est la guerre.

Robeslu, if you have deleted completely your old Civ 3 installation and after a new installation the game demands again a file, that is not included in Civ 3 and its expansions, it seems you have not completely wiped out the old installation. The advisor_all files are located in the Civ 3 art\advisor folder and are demanded by the pediaIcons textfile in the text folder when starting a game. It seems you have not completely wiped out the old Civ 3 installation. Per example a remaining pediaIcons textfile in the virtual store of your computer, could still demand that file and overwrite the pediaIcons file of your new installation.

If the europe_all file would be the only 'non standard' file that is demanded by the modded pediaIcons text file, the cure is simple. Rename an existing x_all file and copy it into the art\advisor folder. Now the game, when beeing started, will find a file with that name. Of course than the next crash with the modded and still remaining pediaIcons file could happen, when it is demanding the next modded file, that is not included in Civ 3 and its expansions. Therefore it is much better to find that old remaining pediaIcons file and delete it and than do a new installation of Civ 3.

I attache a europe_all file (a renamed Ghandi graphics file) that you could copy into the Civ 3 art\advisor folder so the wrong textfile could find such a graphics file.
