Well Steph, thanks anyways for going through all the trouble of trying on our behalf. You are a scholar and a gentleman!

According to Kevin Mitnick (in a radio interview I heard) months of detention were not nearly as punishing as years of being banned from within several feet of a keyboard or mouse.

Even in jest, the discussion is slipping towards conspiracy to commit illegal acts. 2K obviously knows of our interest. I would be surpised if they were not following our discussions. If the posts continue along the same path I'll feel forced to close the thread in order to protect CFC.

Oops...sorry...I was in jest...but perhaps I wasn't clear enough...
And they can ban you from a keyboard and a mouse? Wow.

Commit a crime with a gun, lose your 2nd Amendment rights. Commit a federal crime with a computer, like Mitnick did, & it will be a condition of parole to stay away from any computer, not just the internet. Then try finding a book in a library.;)

Only Americans understand what an "economic stimulus" is: an attempt by government to augment its power by assuming they know better than the common man what the common man needs.

You left out the economic part. They give us money that doesn't exist, so we feel better. Then tax us to get the money to pay back the money that they gave us that came from nowhere. But so far they haven't tried to make the trains run on time.

Yeesh! I was TRYING to DISCOURAGE people from taking such actions! I mean, WTH? All I did was suggest that his time would be better used trying to help with SSS rather than engaging in activities that could result in a Felony conviction. (Complete with doing time at a Federal "Pound Me In The Ass" Prison.)

Hell, I used to work for the Government, and I'm currently trying to get a government job (because I got laid off a week ago), so there's no way in HELL that I'd be encouraging others to commit Federal Crimes.... If you can tell me what I did wrong, by warning people against piracy, hacking, etc, then I'll just shut the hell up.

Join the club (trying to get a government job that is). I would imagine being in the service (or were in the service) would help, but considering I'm ineligible for service, I think I'm a little more screwed over than most.

Unless I can find a recruiter that is more concerned with meeting his enlistment numbers than nitpicking over little details :D

Okay, enough of that rant.

Well, I've got a bit of a leg up, since I'm also going in through an internship program that my College has... According to one guy who's already in the program, as long as you're in the degree program that I am and are willing to work, they'll take you....

Sorry about the rant earlier... I've been in a bit of a grumpy mood lately.

Actually, I am an Army Recruiter. It is true that some of us do place a little more emphasis on the numbers than others. I'm not one of those, thank God. I'm curious though, what did you get disqualified for?
