I've been posting and lurking for tips on how to win a Noble conquest/domination victory. Specifically as Napoleon, and I've finally won one! It was weird. Suddenly it was easier to capitulate leaders. Isabella even willingly became my vassal state! Everyone but Ragnar was my vassal, and that's only because I won before I could take Nidaros!

Here is a picture of what the map looked like at the end of the game.

Here is my info screen graph.

And here is my score. Which quite frankly I'm proud of it considering it is my first domination win.

Just posting to thank everyone on the forum who was nice enough to give tips, and especially to TMIT those Let's Play videos were extremely informative and entertaining.

Also I know that this post has no relevance to anything other then me showing off and being super excited for myself. Anyway thanks everyone!

Nice, what difficulty was it on? I got a similar score on my first (and only) domination win, was playing Persia on a Tiny 4 civ map. I usually play Normal sized 18 civ maps, which make domination extremely difficult. :P

It was an epic noble game. Standard size Pangaea map. Finally won one as Nappy, now I can move on to other leaders. :)

Congratulations Wulture!

I chose Napoleon just cause I like him.

I'm going to try to win another noble domination game as a different leader before trying Prince. Haven't decided which one yet though. I just need to win the same victory as another leader to make sure it wasn't a fluke or a Napoleon specific strategy.

Anyone have a leader suggestion for my next noble domination? I can't seem to decide on one. I'm having a hard time picking a leader that's in the middle. I certainly don't want a leader that would make it too easy. (Capac and the Caesars are the main offenders here)

Try an imperialistic one, the amount of GG you get is absolutely invaluable when going for the domination/conquest win. And it never hurts to have faster settler production :D

Now if you don't want it too easy the roman imp leader ain't the one you want. Perhaps Victoria, or perhaps the Russian one, Cathrine I think.

Also if you are going for a lot of early war's I find a creative leader to really help, not having to worry as much about the culture, and fast def bonus in newly capped cities are also nice.

I'm going to try Charlemagne. I've never used him, and I'm not a big fan of the Protective trait but I've chosen him as I don't think it'll be very easy (at least for not for me) to dominate.

Played two games as Charlie. Churchill and Washington you say? I am very much done with play protective leaders for awhile. I have to say while it can be useful it isn't very fun trying to utilize it. So, sorry Mr. Churchill maybe another time. :(

Also, are Washington and Churchill not good choices or something? I've never played as either of these two. Or America at all for that matter.

Washington has good triats, but awful Uniques and Churchill is the reverse.

If you want a balnced game, try Suliemen. Strong Uniqes, modest traits can great start techs are a big boost. Not as strong as Mehmed, but still good enough to start you strong and then go for anythin you want. A Jannisary rush is golden.

Churchill is amazing. The English UU, the Redcoat, is a beefed-up Rifleman, and gets bonuses from Protective (instant Drill I is AWESOME), and Charismatic (-25% XP for the promotions)...one of the best leaders IMO.
