 yes.... quite even :mischief:

Dynasty Warriors 4 for the genocidal maniac...especially the Nanman Campaign...
GTA: San Andreas...I think they're taking pre-orders now at some places.
For sports, Madden 2004 without a doubt.
Onimusha is great...one, two, and now with three.

Browse around...look at some of the game ratings sites to get reviews...because we're all listing some of the bigger games, but there will be smaller ones that you would love to try and/or buy.

wow, thanks all.
i have GT2 and wasnt sure GT3 was out, didnt know if GT3 was basicaly more of the same or if they added some new stuff.
i probably wont get the online stuff for the PS2 cause i get enough online time with just the computers (just CFC is overdosing already, lol).
that offer from John HSOG sounds applealing, but after carefull consideration i'll pass.
guess for now i'll play thought the Legacy of Cain Series (have a thing for vampires), even though Soulreaver has a very heavy dose of what i dislike most about RPGs - a completely unchangable storyline.
then i'll figure it out.

GT3 has been out since 2001, I think...and Vice City since late 2002. Enjoy them both...I think they have packages where you get both and save a few dollars.

Disclaimer: I actually own all three major systems.

I would agree that the original Xbox controller was too bulky, but the s-controller is better than a PS2 controller, IMO. The gamecube controller is very unintuitive. While I do like several games on gamecube, I feel that its the worst VALUE of the lot. There are only a handful of games that I liked, like Pikmin, Zelda: WW, animal crossing ( ) and a few others. My personal favorite is the xbox, as the games seem to have a feel of greater gameplay. Halo, KOTOR, Morrowind, and TW2004 all got the crap played out of them in my system. And have you seen the previews of Halo2 and Fable? Unbelievable. PS2 is certainly the safest bet of the bunch. It's a solid, but not outstanding, system, and has a massive library of games, ranging from abysmal to awesome. The GTA's are easily one of the best reasons, except now they've been ported to other systems. Actually, Gamecube probably has more exclusive games than any of them. The thing for me is that I'll never see a game on PS2 that can't be played on Xbox. (omitting license agreements) The same can not be said in reverse. Don't you think they would have released Halo for PS2 if they could have? The system just can't handle the game and the graphics.

I think I'm done, for now.....

EDIT: by GT3, I think roddy means Gran Turismo 3. If that's the case, then yes it is out, and yes go get it if you enjoyed version 2. Some of the same tracks, some new ones, many new cars, and now you can win F1 cars!! Once you win one (doesn't matter which one) it's all you will drive, except for the specialty races. (FF challenge, etc)

Oh yeah...mix up...GT3....GTA3....stop with the abbreviations! Anyway, Gran Turismo 3 has been out for a while.

Anyway, I'd rather look at the games rather than the graphics...it's not like the PS2 is lousy in that department. So I just rank PS2 number 1, but XBox being a fairly close second, though I don't have it. Gamecube for me....not much that attracts me...just in the games that are on it...too many bright kiddy-looking games on the franchises of yesteryear. They may be great games...but just not for me.

Moderator Action: Moved to Other Games.

For every PS2 strategy fan, you must get one the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games (VII, VIII, IX) for the PS2. :bounce:

For RPGs, well I think there shld have been many suggestions... My personal faves are like Dark Cloud 2, Xenosaga, FFX...

There's also a genre called strategy/tactical RPG. With games like Disgaea and La Pucelle.

Hitman: Contracts and Manhunt since they've not been mentioned. Be a hitman and star in a snuff movie respectively.

I've had The Suffering for three weeks now but haven't got around to playing it yet. :(

Ace Combat 4
Ace Combat 5
Ace Combat Zero

God of War
God of War II

Any GTA game

Hmm. That's really all I can think of right now. I never really bought that many games for my PS2
