Firaxis Response to French Poster **UPDATE**

Are they really going to send posters free of any shipping charge to anyone who fills out that form? I received a French one and so I filled it out...but how do they know the person even purchased the game? I hope I get mine. ^_^

I wondered that too but then again it seems that even the standard version comes with this poster so I guess they figure if some idiot with the standard really wants an extra poster, go for it. Figure the vast majority of the Civers out there don't even know about this free poster and even most of those who have a legitimate right to it will probably not bother.
 
I guess 2k figures that anyone who already has one and wants another will DL the pdf.

Someone gets greedy - you pays fer yer mistakes.

I'm just glad 2k stood up to the plate so quickly.
 
wow, i won't even care if I get the french tech tree...
that's like one of those collector's items that you can tell stories about around the fire, "well, back in my day kids, when Civ4 was released some of the copies got the french tech tree and your grandpa got one!"

hopefully, my copy will come via Amazon by tomorrow or friday, i'm fiending!

The positive feedback from customers heavily outweighs the cost of the few greedy people out there that ask for a tech tree illegitamately. Everyone is now applauding 2K for their quick response. This small negative is now a huge gain for them. And the people with the french tech tree have a free collectors item as well. :)
 
I hope I do get the French poster. I need practice.

filled in my information at the website weeks ago, but still no sign of my replacement coming in the mail....
maybe this explains my losing streak against the AI's...

Has anyone got their English replacement yet??

here, does this sound french to you, cos its just this line on my poster thats a different language. "Goddelijk recht"
 
Still haven't received my hard copy yet either, and I entered the data in the form the day I got the game (two days after release). I e-mailed 2kGames, I'll update you all if I get a response.
