Fire Fox 3 beta

Who's got it and uses it? What do you think about it? After a few hours it seems a tad faster but I'm not sure.

I've been using it for a while. It is certainly much faster than FF2. The full release is supposed to be even quicker.

The second ( or maybe 3rd beta) was pretty slow for me, and it was clunky, but the latest one runs quite fast. I cant wait till the final release.

I'd rather wait until all of my extensions and themes are compatible with Firefox 3 before making the switch.

Initial loading of a page takes a noticeable amount of time but after that it loads much faster. And the memory issue is much better.I'm liking this new version. I just hope they don't the crap out of it with updates like they did with FF2.

I liked Firefox 3, but Opera works better on my computer, so I use that.

Just installed it and I'm seeing a massive speed boost, even on this site

Can't wait for more add-ons and the like to be compatible.

It worked for me until I did an update. Maybe I need to update again.

Yup had to use a different add on.

I use it with no problems at all. Of course the only add-ons I use are Ad block and Chatzilla.

Using beta 4 now, started using FF3 around beta 2 I think. It's gotten quicker every update.

re add-ons: b4 is the first version of FF3 were IE tab works! It's a godsend at some ******** websites that fail to display properly in Firefox. Now, I could just boycott such sites, but unfortunately my Uni has a few important sites like that.

Now the only add-on I used that doesn't work yet is the Dutch dictionary. I can live without it anyway.

No beta. I have alpha 4 though. I don't use it.

Alpha 4 was so slow compared to the current versions. Im actually posting this from FF3b4 right now.

A side note, is anyone else getting no close buttons on tabs when you use a different skin? I've tried 4 or 5 skins and all have the same problem.

Close buttons are for teh nooblets. Middle click on a tab to close it.

It's still not as responsive and resource friendly as K-Meleon, but already a substantial improvement over FF2.
