First Impressions of Sims 3

Well Ikea does have good furniture.

And they've perfected the art of giving you almost everything you need to assemble said furniture.

Hilariously? When I bought my copy of Ikea Stuff? It was lacking a CD key.
I didn't even feel angry, it was too hilarious to feel angry over.

I only go to Ikea in real life because it's cheap and I'm still only a young professional. But we're not going to pretend they have good stuff. Ikea is an evil to forestry and quality wood products around the world.

Yeah expansion back do get annyoing after awhile. But like I said at least Fallout 3 offers content and quality. The sims 3 not so much.

Thats why The Sims lost my interest after a while. Too many darned Expansion packs!

Yeah, But I do admit to buying at least half of the expansions. But I sold them all on amazon, and I just torrented the whole game, because I payed the same amount when they were all new for how much they are now.

When I thought it was a bad game, I take a glance at Sims2, and then, I don't think it is that bad.

The base game content is extremely limited, especially compared to the previous two games.

did you ever play 1 or 2....my god i can have an all green house with all green furniture. massive step up IMO!!!!

If you use custom content in conjuction with Sims 3's new expansion, at best it'll be -extremely- slow. At worst, you'll need to reinstall the game.

work with third party content!!!!

The new expansion also adds -extremely- little.

LETS SEE...lockable doors...no newpapers delivery...tons of new gems,fish, and bugs...and much much more.....

Well worth the 39.99 for the ex..pack!!!

I loved Ikea! I especially enjoyed trying to find furniture that had the same first name as me. Once in Hong Kong, I found they named a children's table after me. (Lennart btw)

1. It -still- has less content than Sims 2 did. Ignoring the fact that you can recolor objects yourself.

2. The newest update fixes nothing. Also considering that Sims as a franchise (especially Sims 3, which has only a fraction of the content of the previous entry in the franchise) based around custom content, there's no excusing an expansion pack that breaks the majority of custom content created for the game.

3. Expansion pack still adds -very- little. The vacation spots don't offer much, it offers only a few new hair styles and outfits, and it adds maybe 100 new items.
This, combined with the fact that due to how poorly made it was (hence the increased lag one will experience), makes it one of the if not -the- worst Sims expansion I've ever seen (not including stuff packs, of course.)
How the hell are a few new gems, fish, and bugs that great of a new addition?

well the point is mute since there is WAY more to do than that....however i for one love to catch the new frogs and Crocs....

This is not Sims 2 Bon Voyage Ex.pack
It is however Sims 3 World Adventures Ex.pack... no where did i read that i was
going to be taking my Sims on Vacation again.... It does however say TRAVEL on the
cell phone and Computer....

the sims 3 seems.. way simplified from the sims2.. and the landscape graphics like grass look bad =\ so does the menu...

i guess your impression of computer generated photos is different than mine

The problem I found with the sims 2 is when you play one family no others age for ex. If you play lets say twins snd play one more than the other that one will be olderdoes that still happen In the sims3?

Also that pics loooks much nicer than the ones I saw haha if only my computer could handle it :/

Also how exactly does the open thing work do you play one family but do others fo thongs by them selves like birthdays etc?
