Hey guys, this is my first time posting here. I've been playing Civ games for over a decade, and have had Civ III for years, but always noticed this issue and thought I might as well get an answer about it.
Anyway, I'm playing a game on a huge map with every Civ (16 I think?). Anyway, at the start of the game I met several civs, enough to fill up my "Diplomacy screen" (where it shows your head and all the other Civ leader heads arranged in a circle).
Eventually, several of the civs I had contacted were destroyed, so now there were only a few other Civs on the diplomacy screen.
As the game progressed, I met several other civs on the other side of the world. I've even established trade routes and so on with them, but for some reason, their leader's heads wont show up on the diplomacy screen! I'm just left with the original civs I contacted first in the game. There's even several other spaces on the diplomacy with room for the new civs, but they won't show up.
This is extremely annoying because not only do I have to sail a unit across the world and get within a space of their units to actually start negotiating, but I also don't have the benefit of knowing what treaties they have with other civs and what deals can be worked out.
I hope this wasn't too confusing, and I appreciate any and all help.
Thanks!
