The stripping out process for Civ 6 has continued for the Alpha rushes, but leaks indicate that there is little left to strip out, and so simplification of the remnants is the current Mantra. Cracks are appearing in this Policy however as early concept prints of the first submarines indicate a somewhat oversimplified design

There is a faction of traditional devs trying to balance this situation with a more modern looking design later in the game. They have run into a few problems because although the design was pretty well revolutionary for Civ 6 by being true to real life, early ones have some teething issues. They appear to be suffering from "Big Rigs" syndrome, and try to transit any desert they get near to

Unconfirmed reports say that Alpha patch 123,563,834.00789 has a fix with a Camel Archer assisted tow line, as long as enough gold can be gathered to bribe a Bedouin City State. Apparently the new simplified AI has issues counting past 999. My "mole" will keep us posted.

I just stumbled upon an early review of CivVI. I would like to congratulate the reviewer on and extremely honest, unbiased and very thorough review of Civilization VI. I for one feel that he must have spent at least 10 minutes playing it to be able write such a comprehensive and glowing review of such an excellent product. I have signed up for preorder because all the game reviews seem to be singing the accolades of CivVI. Soon I will be too!

"And hell yes, this is the type of game that you want to just play over and over. Like its predecessors, Civilization VI is amazingly addictive, with games commonly drawing more than five or six hours out of me in a single sitting. The reason? Because win or lose, Civilization VI allows players to guide an entire society and craft their own story, taking them from the dawn of history and far into the future.

So we got Fountain of Youth with the latest patch. Expect the following additions in near future:

Sunken City of R'lyeh - Maritime city state in the middle of the ocean

Black Monolith - +1 science from all cities and units

Castle Arrggghhhhhhh - unlocks "Holy Grail" steam achievement

Superman's Fortress - +1 happiness, gives you "Superman" unit (flying, 99999 HP, can spy enemy cities with x-ray vision)

Santa's Workshop - Merry Christmas everyone :)

I heard there have been some changes:

Sunken City of R'lyeh - Militaristic city state in the middle of the ocean; Spawns Cthulhu

Also, you forgot about:

The Lost City Of Atlantis - First to discover gains two new techs

Mordor - First to discover gains a free orch unit

New English UB: Hogwards - Replaces University, can train Wizards, requires Witchcraft

UB for the Finnish civ: public sauna. Provides :c5happy: and a bit of :health: (mostly through placebo).

Special trait for Finnish civ (hey, we're talking about Civ VI): all military units gain 25% extra strength against opponents on ice, tundra and forest tiles.

Civ VI should implement what I call "Lesser Great People". They are just like great people (great merchants, great engineers, great scientists etc.) but.. lesser, duh.

Example: supermodels. They provide a bit of :c5happy: for the city where they are added. Other example: rap artists. They provide a bit of :culture:
Then college-dropouts-come-enterpreneur. These lesser great people provide a bit of :gold: (most of the money they keep themselves, as they are very good at evading taxes (legally, of course))
Sci-fi movie stars: provide a small :science: multiplier (say, 10%), because they encorage a certain number of kids towards science.

Hey Firaxis, these ideas are now copyrighted and owned by me, the author of this post :goodjob:

I don't know maybe rap artists should drain :c5culture:
And I think that supermodels are OP.

SiFi movie stars FTW!:crazyeye:

How about, when things get very negative, you start to generate 'Deeply Crap People'. They generally bring things down (like hammers and that) in the tiles surrounding them. But you can move them to the fringes of your empire and depress the other empires' tiles. Better still, if the other empires' culture values are totally ********, the other guys might want to buy them. Profit.

(I mean Z-list celebrities basically, people like Gillian McKeith. Who isn't actually needed by any civilisation on the planet right now.)

hey I heard that the lead designer john seaman resigned 6 months before the release. They plan to move the release date to last month since the game is more than complete right now.
