Ok I installed C3C and got it to run. But since I am low on space I deleted the stuff in the "flic" folders. Since vannila civ3 didn't need it I though it would be fine. But when I clicked on a civ to play it said something like "flic not found, exiting." Can anyone tell me what is needed and what isn't? Yes I know I should get a bigger hard drive and I probably will but for now I still want to minimize it's footprint. Also I deleted the "sounds/build" stuff and it works. Can I do that with the C3C sounds in that directory as well. I don't mind playing with less graphics and less sounds so that isn't a problem.

Um, the files in the flics folder appear to be the leaderhead animations. I think you need those.

Disclaimer: Don't do this. I'm not going to help anyone if the following ideas mess up the game.

Perhaps your thinking of the "Movies" folder? There's 35MB of movies in there, but I haven't tried deleting them.

(civilization3.exe foler)\Conquests\Conquests\ is 127MB in size and appears to be the "Conquests" scenarios. If you only play the epic games I suspect you might be able to delete this (Conquests with many *.biq files and similarly-named subfolders in it.)

No I deleted the flics in the vannila civ and it works fine. Some of the leaderheads are gone but it still works. I just looked and there is a separate leaderhead directory in vanilla civ for static head instead of moving flics.
