Folder in the wrong place

As I was fiddling with my Civ IV files, I accidentally moved the "Patch" folder from someplace into the Singleplayer saves folder. Where should it actually go? Note that I have BtS installed.

I think this is just where it save the patches when it downloads them in-game. I have a patch folder in each of the Civ 4 and BTS folders at the same level as the saves folder. Both Patch folders are empty but I have never patched in game.

Thanks! Looks like I don't need them to be in the right place for the game to work. Phew!
