keal and company is awesoem in soo many ways, but the biggest and best thing is the fact that what they do is make the game something that us technical idiots can still play. all i have to do is dowload and click install and it works, EVERY TIME.

waht i have to ask now that some really awesoem mods are coming out... can any of you pleasee find a way to make the mods click to play? atm i have had to make multiple copies of FFh then basically drag and drop the new assets on top. this works fine until updates start coming out then things start getting messy and i have to start from square 1 again.

hopefully you guys understand what i am saying and that i am not the only one like this. also hopefully you can find a way to make this simple.

You can easily make shortcuts for them. Just make a duplicate of your FfH2 folder, rename it to, say, "FfH2 (Maniac)" and install maniac's mod in there, then rename the shortcut in that folder and use that to launch the game. The only real downside to that is that it uses extra disk space.

thats what i was doing. where it got to be complicated and annoying is after both patched. now i have to patch FFH , delete mania , copy and rename FFH to mania , then reinstall all the mania patches.... arg

Isnt it strange.... a bunch of Civ fanatics can succeed where major software vendors fail....!

Kael & gang.... .I think you guys should go into business!

It's not strange at all. Ignorant management stifles innovation.

:mischief: Just look at Microsoft - as much as they claim the innovation theirs, they just steal from the open source community and then accuse them of infringing on their IP. Case in point: Internet Explorer. It wasn't updated for what, 5 years?, besides security updates and their "innovation" was to finally copy the good aspects of Mozilla Firefox into a gimpy-UI IE7.

Did you hear that Vista's the most important upgrade since Win95? ROFL!! They plan on locking you in by not backporting DX10 to WinXP.. I plan on not playing DX10 games.

Management needs to get their heads out of the clouds and walk among the people.. but that isn't going to happen unless they think there's money in it (or a promotion/bonus). And they're still likely to kick at the lowly folk as they pass..

(Mwaahahaha.. :crazyeye: )

Well as a manager/SBO I shake my head over how these big boys do business..... but then they make a lot more money than me so I guess it just shows that its not how good it is, its how good the marketing makes it appear to me!
... blast! knew I was doing something wrong....

They definitely have a lot of potential. The things they have done with this game are incredible.

And now imagine the whole team would be active and we would work the whole day, perhaps all together in an office on the project :crazyeye: but i think that was what you meant with potential ;)

An office where? The UN? We live in two different continents.

i would not have any problem with leaving germany for the sake of FfH ;)

Why not get a budget decent enough to have an office apeice with enough left over to meet together on location of places you would like to visit for inspiration...ya, know like the movie people do....It is obvious the Teams agent and I should talk:lol:

Probably, the UN would support this. Uniting the world in a battle towards werewolwes, infernals and so on, and thus forgetting religious, cultural and financial differences IRL, is actually a huge peace-keeping mission. So, get more players, and Kael (and his team:high5: :trophy: will be nominated for the nobels peace price) (OT: wilboman, at least knows what that is...After all, he`s Doviello:goodjob: )

i think he is Illian ;)

A big expense account with tons of travel funding could solve all of these logistic issues. We could meet in Vegas weekly and "work".

i suggest we open a developers studio somewhere near a beautifull beach, and then play soccer every morning there and have some fun and then we work until evening :) that would be my dream of living ;)

Don't forget top of the line computers and the 3 hour lunch breaks to play 12 player multiplayer Fall from Heaven.
All in the name of testing, of course. :D

yea, only people who have fun while doing the thing they get paid for will work so hard, that they produce something that`s worth it, other people buy it ;)

Yes people would buy it especially if your time/money allowed for you to have touch ups/ect to YOUR satisfactions. We players standards have already been exceeded and now we do our best to poke at things so YOU can push the limit!:D

On my mother's side. On my father's side I'm Doviello, from Urslo. Lorgen (or is it Iorgen? Jørgen?) should know. He's Doviello to.
