Here is information on foreign affairs between our continental neighbors.

Bismarck: Pleased with Napolean, Pleased with Caesar, Cautious with us

Caesar: Cautious with Bismarck, Cautious with Napolean, Cautious with us

Napolean: At war with us, we cannot see in the current save.
In the previous save, Napolean was Annoyed with us, Pleased with Caesar, Cautious with Bismarck

What this means to me is that there is some risk that Bismarck could join with Napolean. Caesar is not likely to pose a risk at this time. We don't have a snowball's chance of getting either Bismarck or Caesar to join with us, so diplomatic efforts, if any, should be aimed at keeping them from going to the aid of France.

Well, we only have alphabet and can trade techs around every 10 turns. The only other factors we can use are religion and open borders. Not much we can do for now, like you said.

I don't think Bismarck would dogpile us. More likely Caesar due to his AI personality. If he has iron, *shudders*.

We ought to be more concerned about Caesar, but truth be told, both characters are fairly well-balanced (especially compared with notre enemie, l'Petit Caporal).
