Perhaps something about the rise of modern world or age of imperialism or something. Or maybe unification wars since Franco-Prussian war unified Germany and Civil War reunified America.

Unfortunately, Poland at that time was partitioned between Austria, Germany, and Russia. Af far as the name goes, I like that idea of having based around unification, since the scenario involves US unification, German unification, and Italian unification.

Maybe something like, The End of Isolation: The Birth of the Modern World.? I don't think it's too long. I like your idea of The Birth of the Modern World.
