Got a spam e-mail in my hotmail account today (actually about 30-40 different ones) that had a subject to the effect of "free Hasbro games" normally it would have gotten deleted but I decided what the hell and opened it. Anyway it links to a site where the games are free and you just pay shipping and handling. Not too bad a deal even with the inflated S&H of $7.50 for U.S. Anyway it has what it claims as Civilization II Test Of Time on the games page though it looks more like Classic but either way $7.50 is still the best legal and reliable deal I know of for either of them so check it out if you need a copy. http://www.free-cdsoftware.com/

They charge a flat rate of $7.50 per item, and teh 5th (but not 10th, 15th, etc.) is free. Some decent stuff, esp. since it is all original, from the looks of it!

Yet another company decides that their shipping department is the biggest moneymaker. This ranks with "Free with $15 donation" religious organizations.

PS Omigod another Kerry Livgren fan. Here's another quote "I command the lightning's hand."

LoL Onejayhawk, Lightning's Hand is the name of my Diablo sorceror.

Hey! That's where I got my copy of Civ2. For $7.50, you only get the CD. Everything else must be downloaded from the excellent Civ2 sites: CFC, Poly, and others.

Why is Civ2 free? does it suck? I mean because im thinken of gettin it at that website to compare the 2 games (to see which is better). Should I get it?

if you call $7.50 free then the reason is its an old game.No fancy modern day graphics and what not.Just a good solid game. There are reasons it won all those "best this" "best that" awards.
Get it at any cost :)

Wow, they have fighting steel. I'll be buying...

PS Smash - cool avatar. Very BC, man!

Best act while its still alive. Can't see a site such as that surviving long.Who knows though?

I saw the sign and was very impressed with the pure logic of it :D

Hilarious avatar, Smash! :goodjob:
