I like free samples (products, catalogs, etc.), things to read. Stuff to stimulate my senses. I like getting mail. I like thought provoking concepts and ideas. I like useful things. Anyone got any ideas for me?
www.fatwallet.com is an online souce my wife uses to find freebies. This led to her being on a Proctor and Gamble tester website. We get a lot of P&G products early to test out.
We've also come across a place called freecycle, where people who have stuff they want to get rid of can post the giveaway and it's first come first serve. I'm not sure it's national, but it might be.
Next time youre in NYC, stop by the Grand Central Terminal. Between 10am and noon, people go around with baskets and hand out free sandwiches to the bums. I forget which section exactly though. But if you sit with the bums, you'll get a free sandwich, along with a small container of milk (most of the time, sometimes theres no milk).
I love free software, I will always go to freeware sites or abandonware sites, a word to the wise: you have to make sure you have Virus protection and something like Adaware before you do though
