freeze on loading

hello
since one week i have this problem:
when i run the game, it freeze directly on the : option load play etc...screen or before....Why? i didn't touch the video card settings or anything like that...

also on the "ThemeParseLog.txt" file, i have these messages:
[Jun 03, 2006 - 10:29:45] Messages while processing 'Resource/Themes/Civ4.thm'

Error : Decl - ('Civ4Theme_Common.thm', Ln:401, Col:13) Assignment source propertyId 'SF_CtrlTheme_Civ4_Control_Font_Size3_Italic' not found

Have you tried the 1.61. patch? It might help if you haven't. I'm not sure why it should suddenly stop working if its been working before. Unless of course you patched it a week ago, and that caused the problem...

Don't worry about the errors listed there, those are just to do with some unused fonts, and those aren't connected with your problem.
