I see no reason not to. This game has another 8 months to 2 years to run. No CD....Great! I will hold off pending the discussion.

v319 opens a v317 game with no problem, no 'different asset' warning. However, v317 cannot open a v319 game. So, we all need to patch at the same time or run duel installs. Also, we don't need to wait for the game admin to patch the save.

Guys, if I patch I won't be able to continue to play with 3.17 players.
What should I do?

I will send the dual install by email.

In case Mabeco didn't get my email. I sent the advice so I built it on Sunday to make sure it worked. I used a different hard drive because I had plenty of room on it.

Copy Civ4 File
...C:\\Program Files\Firaxis\Sid Meier's Civilization 4
Paste on D:\\Sid Meier's Civilization 4
Rename file on D:\\3.17 Sid Meier's Civilization 4
Go to the C: drive and Patch.
Find the D:\\BtS executable file in the Civ BtS folder
Rename the executable; mine is 3.17
Right click on the executable file and send a shortcut to the desktop.
Play Civ4.
The longest part is the copy and paste of that huge file.
