Friendly trade

Hi again,

the other day I noticed that after I closed borders with a leader, he popped up and wanted to make some sort of "friendly offer", when I clicked "OK", the dialog box dissappeared and that was it?!

Sorry if the details are sketchy, but does this sound familiar to anybody and what does it mean?

if you clicked ok then the deal was made.

but dont take my word for it, open your diplomacy window and check the active trades tab.
