Frustration

New to Rise of Nations.

Playing on Moderate difficulty. Using the maximum number of possible opponents, biggest possible map, ocean map, territory victory, no wonder victory possible.

Questions: My game came with no manual. How do you use the Alliances checkboxes? I find this very confusing. It feels as if you are only allowed to make ONE ally. How do you make deals to attack people as a team?

Please, if you can, send me a link to PICTURES of how to use the alliance checkboxes. I cannot stress how confusing I find this to use.

Late in the game, I get a VERY strong feeling like I am being ganged up on. It's immensely frustrating to have outplayed them all in the early stages, then to be overwhelmed with floods and floods and floods of inferior units from two, three, four even five different countries.

Before you start playing the game, on the screen where you select your nations, player numbers, map style, etc you can select the team number from a drop down list. If you set your game type to Custom Diplomacy, you can have unbalanced teams and stuff.
