WTH? why is your strength listed as 30 in the combat odds calculator, but listed as 60 on your unit info?

Auric really does need a major boost, he should be like a victory condition for the Illians but instead you get a unit that can't even best Acheron.

Acheron was "Born to be the Winter's Bane..."

I guess he finally fulfilled his purpose.

I certainly agree Auric Ascended needs a boost. I think that Avatar should give 100% healing from combat and Blitz, plus the unit could use some more strength.

Yeah, considering the effort required to summon him, you'd think he'd be a tad more powerful.

That might need to be fixed :)...

True, but I would Auric would get a boost then, otherwise it wouldn't be worth the effort to summon him.

Main reason I did it this time was to get the trophy. I actually found Drifa more useful (blitz, and backed up by the 3 high priests of winter.)

Acheron > Auric is just plain ...... wrong. I mean if you consider the insane amount of things you have to do to get the blighter, the cost just doesn't justify the gain. Also, the fact that dragons were supposed to be the "plows"(or any tool) of the gods (see Drifa civilopedia entry) just does not fit Aurics relative strength.

In the FFH:end of winter scenario that came with BTS, the only way to kill mulcarn was with the godslayer, what would be wrong with carrying that simple mechanic over to FFH2?

Well, if you mean to implement it the same way as in AoI, then yes; that would require limiting Auric Ascended to stay on a single tile that only 1 unit can enter, and make you need the godslayer to get the unit to enter the tile (promotions currently don't give the ability to enter specific terrains.)

It would however not be too hard to make the <PythonPostCombatLost> and <PythonPostCombatWon> cause Auric to automatically win unless faced with the Godslayer, and loose otherwise (it already makes him always loose if faced with the Godslayer).

I think that there is at least one case where a dragon should be able to defeat a god: Eurabatres vs. Cernunnos. Eurabatres is described as the most powerful being ever created (excluding the original gods made by The One), which would put him ahead of Archangels like Cernunnos. Upon ascending to godhood however I guess the archangel could have become stronger than the dragon, but he is still the weakest god and I could see the battle being a close one.

There is of course a question as to whether Auric has fully regained his powers at the point where he is called "ascended," or whether a mortal who ascends could ever match up to one created as a god, even if aid mortal is the reincarnation of a god.

Sure, let's invite Hyborem to the cleansing ritual, what could go wrong?

I always thought that some Elohim actions lack common sense!! This is a top blunder... I guess someone needs to talk to that white lady

I once had the elohim invite the sheaim and the next turn vice versa...

Orthus actually hung around long enough to get powered up:

Finally, having spies everywhere paid off :P :

My record was 17 techs in one turn:). In that game I was Sidar confined to an island while the rest of the world was on a nice continent ruled by the Clan and Doviello.

I'm curious as to the total you gained in those two screenshots.

I think it was 11. 11 techs that I didn't intend to research manually mind you, I had all I needed. :P
