Gold, plenty of flood plains, incense, horses, probably some seafood resources as well. Plus, I'd take a guess that you've got Stone out there also, as even with Ind, that's let you really cut down on GW time to get several more cities out by the 1700s BC. That's just a great start.

Or I can just stupidly axe-rush Victoria over the next hill and see how many cities she spams in the process when I'm trying to knock her down.

I have a save so I might go back and try another go but ... it's over :(.

Since I don't think my Posters made it in.

Quite funny way to start a game at emperor difficult level:

nicestart.jpg

(4000 BC: Bronze working, 3925 BC Animal Husbandry)

Feels almost like cheating.

@Leveler: That's why I turned those huts off. It's often either you getting great huts or the AI, which, in both cases, makes the game very unbalanced.

I don't know about you, but it irritates the heck out of me knowing that the goody huts are smarter than my civilization.

leveler,I envy you.

What's wrong with this image?
#1 You're researching steel @ 1992 AD
#2 Your capial is on the wrong island.
#3 You're building research
#4 You have Versailles/FP on a one-tile island

I can't think of any more funny things... :crazyeye:

Correct. However, I was going for a culture victory and infact one turn off. I had just turned on the slider 10 turns prior. I had turned it off at Democracy. :D
#2 Your capial is on the wrong island.
True, perhaps the biggest thing wrong with the picturec. I checked, my maintainance went up 70 GOLD per turn after I cash rushed it there.
#3 You're building research
This is bad?
#4 You have Versailles/FP on a one-tile island
Also one of them. However, my starting island is so small it's probably doing more good there.

5. York is on a island very far away from London. York is the second city on the city list. However, I just renamed the cities. Oxford was originally named York, I changed that after I built the Oxford University there. A little bit afterwards I founded city 7, and it was named York since York no longer existed.

Good work. :goodjob:

It was a good game. On another note, I had every building I could build in each of my nine cities, even the 2 one tile island cities and the one two tile island city, thanks to cash rushing.

Also, the capital thing is ironic, considering didn't the real Victoria live on a secluded island for 30 years?

If you go for CV, what do you need steel for?? I was assuming you were at war, thus the culture slider. But researching past nationalism / PP in a culture game isn't optimal.

Building wealth lets you run the slider higher. Then the sciencs % are applied for more commerce which makes the gain bigger than if you have a lower slider but are building research.
You usually have more science% buildings so building wealth > research. Same works vice-versa.

One o' mine:

Now THAT's a good library. In the first years of work, they already make a breakthrough!

I didn't really need Steel, it was just going towards the final turns so I decided to research something for the heck of it. :D

And I did infact turn the slider down to 0 after Democracy (I needed Emancipation to grow all my cottages and prevent unhappiness)

And that's interesting about building wealth.

And I wasn't at war, but I was running the culture slider because I was going FOR A CULTURE VICTORY
