I thought you weren't going for cultue as you were still researching - war would be the only other reason to run the culture slider. This is how I thought you were warring and had it for.
Kind of confusing. In retrospect, I am not really sure why I had turned the research slider up
I had no reason to. I would not need Steel and would infact not be able to get it.I had the slider turned off for the previous 65 turns or so though

It's more likely a winter storm system, hurricanes don't form that low. (and they're called Cyclones in the southern hemisphere usually)
Still, Atlanta is about to get pounded with snow and wind, and maybe Oxford too

Well, in civ IV weather is quite extreme. Everytime it snows it becomes an avalanche and every time it rains it becomes a flood or a hurricane. Ouch

No, volcanoes and tsunamis are the result of seismic movements in the earth's crust, not weather systems. The number of times I got angry during the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami when someone bleated on about "climate change" causing the tsunami...I am the daughter and sister of two geographers, so I've imbibed natural science along with mother's milk...

Yes, crowqueen is right. Tsunamis are not caused by atmospheric changes. They are caused by earthquakes or volcanoes in the ocean. There is a LARGE difference between tsunamis & tidal waves. Tsunamis are caused by seismic activity while tidal wves are caused by atmospheric patters & heat factors.
