Greetings All
I'm fairly new to the site but not to Civ III. I've been hooked since the original came out long ago. I enjoy playing the game and never played the scenarios. A friend next state over and his son wanted to multiplay online and wanted to play the Future Era scenario and I don't have it and cannot find it. Could someone point me in the right direction? Also some tip on playing it well, he's very good. Thanks

Which version of Civ3 do you have? Vanilla, Play the World, or Conquests? In Conquests the scenario is located in Civ-Content. If you click on Civ-Content and scroll down you'll find Future Era, Modern, and a start for each age. I'm unsure about PtW, but you might want to check the Load Scenario button. Don't have a clue on Vanilla. Hope that helped.

I actually have all 3. I checked Civ-Content and didn't see it. I'll look again. But wouldn't appear on the scenario screen when I entered the multiplayer screen? Just a reminder, I'm a old-timer when it comes to Civ III but a new comer to the scenario scene.

It's rather easy to create a Future Era Scenairo.

Open the editor (it's in c:\Program Files\Infogrames\Civilization III... and whatever version of Civ3 you're using. BTW, vanilla Civ3 doesn't have MP).

Click on Scenarios->Custom Player Data
Click on the blue and red flag icon at the top of the program.
Go to the Players tab.

For each player in the game, do the following:

Click on "Civilization defaults".
Select Bronze Working, and holding the mouse button down, scroll down to select all techs.
From Initial Era, select "Future Era".

Repeat until you do that for all players.

Save the game as Future Era.

It's a pretty simple setup (and there's bound to be future era start scenarios somewhere in the Creation & Customization forum, too).
