Although I installed Civ II w/o a hitch, Fantastic Worlds will not work. Whenever I hit the setup icon, I get the error message: "SETUP.EXE is not a valid Win32 application." I have tried turning off most of my processes to free up memory, but the same damned message keeps occuring. Any help?

Is FW like Civ2 classic with all the files on the CD? If so you can just copy them all to their respective folders.

I had the same problem with Civ2 classic. I ended up just copying everything to my hard drive, then starting up in safe mode in which setup.exe decided to run of my hard drive.

I'm not sure how FW meshes with Civ II --- do some of the files replace the Civ II files, or are they completely seperate folders?

FW and MGE and 2.42 can each be run in separate directories. You can even copy an entire directory to a new location, and run duplicates of the same game. I've done up to 4 at once for certain tests before, but now just MGE and FW (Patched with Cedric's great program).
