Very curious what people are noticing in terms of gameplay changes as it pertains to space victory?

I have only played a couple games not actually finished any yet. But the number one thing I’m noticing is that the AI’s seem to be much slower building walls. In my current game it’s turn 85 and I don’t think I’ve seen a single wall anywhere. This is a huge change, as it makes the old fashion horseman rush or early levy war viable again. In the previous patch I kept getting stuck in a situation where I would build a bunch of units and then they get stalled by walls that popped up around turn 50 earlier.

A second thing I’m noticing is that the city states seem to do a better job of building armies. I have been seeing cherry it’s pretty early, in my last game they seemed to be upgrading faster too. This could be a major change if you have the chance to actually focus on infrastructure a little bit and then just buy a powerful army around turn 50 for a war.

The third thing is that the AI seems to be improving tiles (and not just farms) more as advertised. That’s great for the player as it gives more pillage targets and better equipped cities when you capture them. I haven’t really noticed much change in district building. A lot of cities seem to have one district of whatever that AI is focusing on but it’s not like they have massively improve their ability to plan districts.

Haven’t noticed any major changes in trade yet.

I haven’t seen city states getting razed yet but again only played a few partial games. That is one change I would love because it was super annoying when an a I would destroy a good city seat. I don’t mind if they capture them but burning into the ground is really annoying.

So I have a very small sample size and I’m wondering if some of these things were just randomly in my games or other people are noticing them to? If this really is the new normal I think the game will get a little bit easier for fast-paced victories because you can conquer quicker and will get better cities with more infrastructure as you do so. Personally I like it because I found the early walls are kind of a drag.
