Well, the title says it all, after playing for about 2 hours on max graphical setting, which my computer can SURELY handle, t crashes. Now this does not happen when i play it on 1280x1024. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem? Or is there someone with the same problem?

Perhaps you should write your specifications just in case.
As above, seems to be overheating or possibly, running out of memory(Although it doens't happen to me even though I use XP and civ can only use 2GB of the max ram)?

Almost certainly an out of memory issue. Overheating has different symptoms and would cause a bluescreen in most situations. The most likely cause is that you are running a 32bit OS and hitting the 2GB limit in some unfriendly fashion. There are ways to manage your memory differently so as to try and mitigate the problem but I'd need to see your PC specs before I could advise more specifically on it.
