Whenever I want to win a game ( wery rare I try this win form) via spacerace.

the game crashes, reload, game crash.
I dont use my civ3 cd's to play,
but a dl version.(cracked version)
do I have to delete it and use one of my civ3 cd's to play?
thisll steal my only dvd drive, so I cant use it for other activities whilst gaming civ3 :(

This rings some bells -- I'm sure I read a thread somewhere on CFC about what to do if your Spaceship-movie crashes the game. Can't remember where, off the top of my head, but IIRC, the suggested fix is to find the Intro-movie file, copy it, and rename that copy to the name of the Spaceship-win video. That way, when you win the Space-race, the Intro-movie will play instead of the Spaceship-movie. OK, it's not an ideal solution (the Spaceship-movie is cool!), but it does at least allow you to bypass that crashpoint.

So the 64,000-dollar question is, can you (still) play the Intro-video?

If the problem is that your system won't play either of the Civ3 videos, then I don't know what to suggest, other than reading the 'Civ3 problems under Win10' thread, and/or maybe the 'Civ3 problems following disablement of secdrv.sys' thread, and reposting this problem there, if none of the offered advice helps you... (e.g. Is your Civ-installation in 'C:/ProgramFiles/.../Civilization3/'? If so, reinstalling it somewhere else, e.g. 'C:/Games/Civilization3' might be a one-shot solution to any of your problems with Win10...)

EDIT: Just searched CFC for 'Civ3 spaceship movie crash', and found at least one thread about this. It's pretty old -- they're still talking about patching Civ3 Vanilla 1.07! -- but it did link to another thread -- which is the one I remember reading. Hope that helps you sort things out -- but if not, it's most likely a driver issue, since Win10 has already been found to screw some of them up...
