Game crashes every time

I have yet to finish a game without a crash. They always happen when either a wonder video starts or some other "extra window" event. I have seen mention of of the Civ4.ini file but where is it?

How do you drivers card ?
Ati - install ATI CATALYST 4.12 driver ....
Nvidia - Install 45.23 driver

and change to the windows mode in --> ( _civ4config.lnk )

Hello,

I had the exact same problem. While many people are reporting that the problems are caused in combination with certain high-end ATI video cards, in my case the problems were fixed by increasing the AGP aperture size in my BIOS setup (from 4 to 128MB).

I am now playing in windowed mode and turned off the in game videos. I played about 3 hours last night and no crashes. I do notice in windowed mode the game is a bit more sluggish but sluggish is better then crashing. Hopefully when we finally do get a patch, things will improve even more.
