Hello
I am not really sure what else to do:
I have deleted all mods, deleted the C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI folder
Checked game integrity (which didnt find any issues)
Deleted all game content and reinstalled the game via steam.
and reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++
All without change.
I Have tried with pretty much every graphics options from minimun to max
I can play the tutorial, run the benchmark load old games and start the game via play now.
I just cant create a new game in single or multiplayer for that matter.
The game just freezes (the music keeps playing) and windows at some point says the program isnt responding.
I run a Geforce GTX 1070 driver version 376.33
(Its the KFA 2 if that matters)
an I5 3350P (stock clock)
16 GB of DDR3
and windows 10 build 10.0.14393
The game is run from a HDD that has about 500gb free space.
Anyone got any bright ideas short of reinstalling windows?
The problem started after I installed the new graphics card. oh and it comes up whether I try direct X 12 or 11 and I have disabled both windows defender and Avira antivir and still not change. (No other Antivirus present)
