Game crashes when playing custom music

I recently played a custom scenario and the scenario works perfectly. But then after 2 some hours of gameplay after a new song is played the game crashes to the desktop. It crashes with the same song. It plays for a few seconds then crashes to the desktop.

I am running 32-bit Windows Vista with 1 GB of ram. This issue also occurs on my Windows XP computer too (also 1 GB of ram.)

Sounds like a problem with the music in the scenario. Is it your own, or did you download it from someplace?

Have you played that track outside of Civ? Someone posted here about crashes if you play a track in Media Player then try and play it in Civ.

Neither, its a music pack from "The Desert and the Mountain" scenario. Conquests crashes to the desktop when it gets to a certain song (in this case kyenkyen.mp3.)

Not familiar with that scenario, but then I've only played a couple. If it was installed when you installed the game, I'd try reinstalling the game. Or you could probably delete that file, pick another piece of music, and substitute that one.
