The older Civ games used to end at 2050 or 2100 I believe... whether there was a winner or not.

If I turn off time victory... does the game still end at a certain point (if no victory conditions are met). Or can you theoretically go past 2100 and into the 2200s?

TIA.

1-You can play even after a victory was achieved, (you just won't get any more Victories)

2-If you turn off Time Victory, then there will be no victory achieved in 2050 (the only thing special about it)

So if I turn off all the victory conditions except for conquest... the game will still end at 2050 with no victories being achieved?

No, if you check off Time Victory, the game will continue until one, if any, of the other victory condition is achieved. However, don't plan the play your game forever 'cause every turn global warming spreads and your inflation grows.

what disturbs me is how the game ends in 2050 what does sid know that we dont (twlight zone music)

I personally hate time victory. I always turn it off. It's just so annoying. The world wont end 2050 you know...

No the world ends in 2012 according to the Mayan Calender and the X Files (watch the last episode if you don't know why) ;)

We are all DOOMED!!! GOD HELP US!!!

Inflation is a fudge factor thrown into the game, and it maxes out at 100% (the rate is dependent on your difficulty level, time, and a few other factors if I recall correctly).

The only thing state property alters is your distance maintenance costs, not your inflation. Thus, you will suffer the same inflation rate, but pay out fewer maintenance costs on your cities with state property.
