Game Locks In Hotseat

I'm having a very serious problem with Hotseat play with C3C v1.22 ... when I open up the multiplayer and go to hotseat, it loads the multiplayer screen, but all the arrows for each option don't show up. I can't add players, I can't change game conditions. I can't even exit out of the hotseat screen.

If anyone has had this problem before, and knows how to remedy it, PLEASE enlighten me.

I am running a custom built PC with Win2k Pro, SP4 (all current patches). 2.0ghz processor, 1.3gig RAM, 256mb NVidia graphics.

I tried reinstalling Civ3, and that didn't work. I've been running C3C v1.22 since the patch came out and have NEVER had this problem.

My wife and I enjoy playing hotseat. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not that anyone seemed to pay any attention to this, but I figured I'd post the solution.

It has to do with UPnP settings if you are using a router. If you disable it on your router, then Multiplayer will work just fine.
