Game no longer working fine.....

I don''t understand....the game was orking great for 2 weeks now everytime I build a wonder, the game crashes back tot he desktop. As well, the save file or the autosave file for that game usually gets corrupted. Anyone else experience this?

All the time. The crashes to the desktop seem to be quite random, wait for the patch and maybe it'll go away.

With regards to the wonder problem, update your video driver. It does help. My wonder videos run smooth now, even in the later part of the game.

Whith regards to the save/autosave...I had that problem once. It happened when I went to save, the computer crashed.

We have multiple users on our computer, and my wife was still logged in and running a program. When I logged in under my name, I did not notice this, so... crash and corrupt save. I always check to make sure NOTHING else is running when I play. That includes automatic scans such as Norton antivirus, and other programs under other users.

Do you happen to still have an old saved game from when the game/wonders were working ? If so, try loading an old saved game that worked, then load the latest saved game and see if that helps. I had to do that. Something in CIV keeps changing because in several games the wonders CTD and yet other games the wonders played fine though a little choppy. Did you change the map size to a larger one ? Try turning off the movies via the config file.

I've simply stopped playing the game until a patch comes out that addresses the random, frequent crashes. I have become so fed up with the game just crashing whenever it feels like, and then losing 2-5 turns of progress. It has gotten to the point where the game crashes, I reload and restart my save, it crashes again 2-3 minutes later, I restart the game and it crashes while reloading my saved game.

The game is essentially unplayable to me and is a $50 waste of harddrive space until a patch is released.
