Hey!

I'm Grant. I'm completely new to Civilization V, I played Civilization IV but only with my friend on multiplayer so I never got too involved in the community. But I'm looking to change that! It looks like the multiplayer is a bit slow these days.... any reason why?

Also, I was reading... I saw a channel about Game of the Month? What is this? Once I get more skill I'd like to get involved if its a competition with the community!

Thanks!

Grant

Reading this thread should help answer some of your questions.

Also, I'm moving this to the GOTM forum so that people much more informed than I am can answer the questions you have. :) And a GOTM mod can merge this in the appropriate thread if necessary...

Welcome to GoTM. :wavey:

:thanx: to Moss for sending you here. :goodjob:

Moss gave you the correct link to the Civ5 GoTM info page. It is not really a competition because we do not have a mod for this version of civ. What we decided to do was begin games in which we can learn from each other. Please feel free to browse through the threads; Announcement, to learn what that game was about, In Progress to see how players handled their start and development and the After Action Review thread to see how players finished their games.

You will most likely not be able to play many of the older games due to Civ5 updates. We will be starting a new game Monday (tomorrow) and you are welcome to join in the fun. Please feel free to ask other players questions about how or why they played a certain way. Most are happy to help you along.

Good luck. :)
