I took the first option, even though it didn't really fit, because I don't try to push the envelope with my hardware. My AthlonXP2100+ and Radeon 9000Pro 128M should handle Civ4 acceptably, I assume. But I probably won't buy it until it has been shown to run under Cedega, anyway.

If Civ4 won't run on my existing hardware, then I won't buy it. Basically, being a college student, I don't really have the spare money to buy a new computer, so there's no sense wasting money on Civ4 if I would have to buy a new computer or a new video card to run it.

I voted for the second option, that system requirements aren't really a problem for me. However with the new up and coming graphic-intense games, I think I'll be sliding into the first category. I doubt I will be getting a new computer soon, but I'm content with Civ3:C3C if Civ4 won't run.
