First it started with Half-Life 2. Then Crysis. Crysis worked before just fine. Everything maxed out. Now it run like I have it in half speed. I can pan around as fast as a I want. Blow up 50 things at once and no lag. But everyone just moves slow (including myself). I've never had lag like this before. It doesn't even seem like lag. It's smooth.

Anyone have any solutions? Drivers are up to date.

Windows XP Pro SP2
Intel Core Duo E6400 @ 2.13 Ghz
2 GB RAM
Nvidia 8800 Ultra 521MB
1 x 500 GB Hard drive
1 x 350 GB Hard drive
MSI 975x Mainboard
OCZ 700W PSU
Latest Directx drivers

These are my specs. Dropping the graphics to the lowest settings in game does not help. HDs are both way less than 50% full. Computer is all cleaned out. It's defragged.

Edit: I updated my BIOS. I was afraid too because of the problems I have had in the past with updating BIOS. It seems to be working so far. Crossing my fingers.

If it's in multiplayer only, and never when you play single player, then it's probably the latency of your internet connection. If that's the case, it might be because of latency of the server you play on, or you may have changed the specifics of the way your computer handles the internet.

But if it's not either of those, than it's probably more complicated, as you may have done something to modify the system setting sub-optimally. Or maybe even spyware (sic)! Or even just too many softwares that load themself on Start-up and stay in memory.

You might also want to get your memory tested for any damage.
So many maybes, the best bet would be to pour over some tweak-guides for the game and your OS, or revert to an older snapshot of your system if you were running some kind of system restore software. Not to sound sarcastic, but lots of small issues can cause a computer to act 'off'.

LOL I forgot to include that. Sometimes it's just brand hardware conflict that a BIOS update will resolve, if the manufacture support is any good.

I updated my BIOS and alls good now. Thanks for the advice, however.
