Now thats the way to be a jerk, force them to declare on us! Even so I never thought Gilga would have the guts. The best part...we still have a +4 rating with him. :) Also Zimbir should flip to us any turn now that his troops are gone.

The only question is how much can we take before he asks for peace?

Got it.

Plan is to turtle Gilgamesh. I can always go to Nationhood and draft if things don't go well but I want to keep our population high. The crossbow and mace in Bangalore can do some damage to Gilga's stack once the city defenders arrive. Maybe I'll rush buy a musket or 2.

Once Medicine's in, I don't know if we have a GM to found Sid's, will see what I can do about that.

And maybe an AP vote to end the war will come up.

Will try and get a missionary to that 3 fish island, with 3 workboats and a granary it'll grow like a weed.

Turn 0: I move an additional crossbow from Hyberabad and a maceman from Calcutta to join the counterattack.
I also take the chance to be a jerk and steal a worker with our only Knight.

Civ4ScreenShot0008.jpg

Turn 1: Gilga's stack reaches Bangalore. I don't do anything waiting for reinforcements.

Turn 2: Longbow, axe and crossbow arrive at Bangalore. I promote axe to mace.
Gilga stupidly sends his crossbowman from his stack back letting our macemen counterattack. He should really read Sisiutil's Stack o' Doom article.
2 macemen take out 2 vultures
2 crossbow take out both catapults, with no seige he can't take the city it's at 64%

IBT: Gilga stupidly attacks our lone Knight with his stack. Knight kills a vulture and 2 swords before dying.

Turn 3: Mace and Crossbow take out the rest of Gilga's remaining stack. Longbow sent to cover the wounded mace.
Great General born in Bombay

IBT: Gilga takes out the Longbow and Mace. In retrospect I should have kept the longbow back. Only would have lost 1 unit.

Turn 4: Put out an AP vote to end the war on Gandhi. Voted yes.

Turn 5: Results of AP vote. We're at 460 votes.

Civ4ScreenShot0009.jpg

Turn 6: Medicine in. I tech physics to get us closer to Mass Media if we need a UN vote.
Great General settled in HE city
Sid's Sushi founded in Delhi

Turn 7: 1st Sid's executive sent to Paliputra (our 2nd biggest hammer city)

Turn 9: Give Music and Philo to Surya to make peace with Elizabeth, was afraid it'd be the only option for AP vote and wanted a diplo victory option instead
Great Scientist born in Delhi

Turn 10: We're up to 496 votes in AP. 479 are required to win.
Settlers on Galleons arrive near islands, will let the next player decide where/whether to put them anywhere
Spy forments unhappiness in Gilga's capital, had to be a jerk to him to make up for him declaring war on us

why'd you put out "stop war vs ghandi?" Lol, we gilga or not, we still could've won. Surya and the others would've surely voted for us.

But oh well. More turnsets = More fun with Gilga i guess.

Ya, I thats the way I intended we play. All of our fighting is supposed to be of a covert nature.

I took a look at the save, whew...what an empire and what a lead! We can pretty much do as we please. We seem to be doing ok with all our colonies so might as well just hold on to them till the end.

I went to check the turn log in 1725 and the game crashed. I replay tomorrow.

Last I looked we had over 530 votes in the AP but the only resolution that came up was some junk about open borders.

Sorry for the delay. Had some hardware issues, solved now. Will replay tomorrow.

OK that time I forgot, but I'm playing it right now.

I'll have the turn report up in a couple more hours but here is the save. I think we are working almost every tile so for builds I made sure to provide health and hapiness as well as specialist slots for our new citizens.

We are so far beyond anyone else so I've been researching to grab up all the free great people. Just started a golden age.

1700
Send Sid’s Sushi Exec to Bangalore instead.
Foment unhappiness in Nottingham England just to get a free ride home.
Espionage set to zero and spread evenly, still more than 20 points per tern for each civ.

1705
Finish Physics (free scientist starts academy in Pata.)
Start Communism for free spy and Kremlin.
Trade copper for half a dozen fish and rice plus gold.
Sid’s Sushi in Bangalore, now more than 200 culture per turn. Over the course of this set we'll steal a couple more tiles including his cows and while he has enough troops in Zimbir to prevent a flip Nibru has about a 6% of revolting.
Worker begins forest preserve at Lahore so we can eventually use those tundra tiles.

1710
Elisabeth asks for Liberalism and I give it.

1715
Enemy spy captured in Calcutta, a spy is stationed there and Bangalore for defense.
Babylon is getting fed up with Pirates, builds massive fleet of caravels.
WLTKD in Delhi which is especially nice in any corporation city.

1720
England demands we stop trading with Khmer. I say no thanks as that also hurts our rep with Khmer.
AP resolution time, Open Borders with all AP members? We don’t need it so I skip it.
WLTKD in New Delhi and Pata.
Pirates sail into the midst of the Babylonian Armada, pillage fishing boat and sink a caravel.

1725
Babylon’s navy jump on our pirate, which takes only 1 caravel to the bottom with it. I really thought we would do better than that.
Finish communism, start Replaceable parts.
Spy and Scientist start massive Golden Age.
Start Kremlin.
Vijay WLTKD.
Pirates retaliate sinking 4 caravels, 1 galley and 2 triremes.
Gilgamesh is researching Drama…in 37 turns! He has science at zero and is saving up to buy techs. His nation is entirely blockade.
Upgrade an Axe to Mace.

1730
Pirates defend against a caravel then sink 2 more as well as 2 triremes and pillage a fishing boat.
Finish Replaceable parts, start Steam Power.

1735
Settle two cities in the far south. Lots of resources but its all ice. Those cities need Sid’s Sushi.
WLTKD in Vijay and Pata.
Enemy spy captured near Bangalore.
Pirate sunk, but elsewhere they pillage whales, sink a caravel and a galley.

1740
Just for fun I try and destroy Sumeria’s silk plantations. (82% chance). Get the one near Uruk, but or other spy is captured.
Pillage fishing boats, sink caravel and Trireme.

1745
Finish Steam, start Assembly Line.
Pillage fishing boats.

1750
Get another GP, against all odds it’s a scientist of which we have almost no use.
Pillage two fishing boats and sink 2 caravels.
Just discover that an Iron Resource near New Delhi is unmined. Oops, all our workers are in the colonies except for two way down south. A galleon is sent to bring a chap home from Burgundian. Well want the help when its time to railroad.

Religion is spread everywhere, our pirates are busy and our luck with spies is poor. The big job right now is spreading Sid’s Sushi. It’s a really good company, we need it in our two ice bound cities and Galbarga (near England) but most of our colonies would benefit from it. I think it’s too good to export even if we do control most of the resources.

Its all you now LastOne.

BTW, Does the log button cause anybody elses game to crash?
