Turn 1:
Delhi finishes settler now Budhist Missionary(1 turn)
New Delhi completes Macemen, begans Crossbowmen.
I upgraded a warrior to a macemen, i'm gonna use it to take on that barb city.

Turn 2: I began colloseum (2 turns) in Delhi as we've reached it's happy cap. We'll also need an aquaduct on that city to.

Great Prophet Born in Delhi. Start Golden Age. (sorry for not discussion it with group, but only other option was to gain 1000 or so to research of divine right)

Turn 6: Settle Marble city. Upgrade that Galley to a caravel. Set it to explore.

Turn 7:
Paper comes in, Start Printing press. (i think we need it)

Kind of a builder turnset.

Few things. Build colosseum for happiness when we don't have drama to use culture slider, but the city still don't have buddhist temple even though it gives not only happiness but +2:hammers: from AP? :confused: Let's build temples everywhere!

We are philosophical but cottaged up everything and don't have a decent GP farm. If we clear all the jungles around the culture bomb city and put farms there, it could be a GP farm. (Needs chain irrigation from the south.)

1110 AD Switch Varanasi to FP, it can finish under GA.

Finished Hagia Sophia, started Sankore Univ. in the capital. Maybe it could have been The Great Lib, but I decided to wait for the marble coming online. But I realized it's not available 'cos barb cities blocking the coastal trade routes. I sent 2 maces to raze those cities.

How about Nationalism next, then we can use the marble bonus for Taj Mahal and another Golden Age.

The Khmer and Native Americans never found a religion of their own. They might be our best bet for missionary work.
 
I forget to go and meet him, the caravel returned home to pick a missionary. We can do it in the next turnset. Also forgot to mention the GArtist is born and heading towards its destiny.

Philo in in 3 turns, but I don't think we should switch to Pacifism until we have a good GP farm. I will try to get monastaries for all our religions so we can build missionaries for them

Madurai founded, there even was a blue dot on the city spot, it's always rare with the AI and I agree on anything

Not sure how to increase culture here, an irrigation chain for more artists would steal 2 cottage spots from Pataliputra (it's got no food surplus tiles)

Turn 5: Buddhist Missionary fails to spread Buddhism in Elephantine :wallbash: All it had was Confucianism (same as rest of her cities)

Turn 7: HBR stolen from Hammurabil;. Then I realised we don't have horses. The urge to be a jerk was unresistable though. Sometimes jerks can't be choosy.

Turn 8: Hatty offers Feudalism and 60 gold for CS. Didn't seem so bad so I accepted.

Turn 9: Great engineer born in Delhi!
Hostile villagers popped from hut... I just hate waiting for explorers since the AI might pop them. They're all warriors so maceman should clean up on them.
Buddhism spread to Angkor Thom, Surya's smallest city

Turn 10: Missionary loaded onto Caravel. Spy loaded onto Caravel. Maceman kills barb warrior between turns, and another this turn, no health lost. Suggest sending 1 south to pop some more huts.
More spies built to send to foreign lands, and caravels to send them on

Realize I sent caravels home instead of meeting Sitting Bull :blush:

1. I learned from watching Lkdenters attempt on Cultural Conquest, the more units there is in a city, the harder it is to flip. And look at how many units are there in Zimbir!!!

Yes, but if we get more than 50% @ Zimbir, we can propose an AP resolution like 'give Zimbir to India' :D
So go for Music and the GA :goodjob:

The Engineer should build a nice wonder for us, if no better option, NE in the GP farm.

2. I like privateers, too. We need Astronomy and Chemistry to be able to build them.

We can still colonize those islands before Astronomy and should before others do.

Some plans:

Rather than start major espionage against Elisabeth to get her techs I'll focus on Gilgamesh, just for fun, and build up some points against Babylon because they are our only real competition.

We missed the free artist, but we can still use the engineer to get Notre Dame and we can still get Liberalism's free tech and Economics’ free merchant.

I also want to try founding some more colonies.

only if Zimbir belongs to a voting member of the AP. can't be a full member and i think that's gilga so he is? i've used spies to change the other guy to FR in cases like that, demotes 'em to voting members *giggle*

1310: Accept map trade with Khmer. To avoid other rip offs I sell map around. Calcutta finish spy starts Library, Bangalore starts temple.

1320: Khmer offers 70 gold for Metal casting. Give it to him but begin planning his fall.

1330: Galley sunk by barbs, Elizabeth demands theology, Delhi starts temple, Vijay, Agra, Hyderabad start Lighthouses, Pata starts Maori Statues, Vara finishes Pantheon starts Market.

1340: Open boarder with England. Finish Engineering, resume Education. New Delhi starts market, Settler and worker head out to the colonies. Bangalore starts Notre Dame.

1350: Map trade with Babylon. Finish Edu start Liberalism. Delhi and Calcutta start universities. A clumsy apprentice sets fire to the Forge in Delhi, I spend 67 gold to have it rebuilt.

1360: Renegotiate trade deals to snatch up all available gold.

1370: Delhi builds wall, don’t need a wall but it is a prerequisite for castles which boost espionage spending and give another trade route. Vara starts library. Spy sabotages Library in Kish, just trying to keep Sumerian culture low.

1380: Delhi starts castle, Agra starts harbor. AP resident has option to order an end to trade with Egypt but I decline.

1390: Finish Liberalism, take Astronomy as free tech and start Gunpowder. New Delhi starts Library, Vijay starts harbor. Great Spy is born to build Scotland Yard in Delhi (+100% espionage spending there, which is 21 extra points per turn.) Engineer rush Notre Dame in Bangalore. Spread Christianity to two Summerian cities. Spy fails to destroy monastery in Kish.

1400: Delhi starts observatory, Medina starts harbor, Hyderabad starts courthouse. Galley sunk by barbarian, but settler and worker got off first.

For next round:
Might be time to reexamine civics. Free speech/ Caste System/ Free Religion or Pacifism?

We finish Gunpowder in 2 then Chemistry takes 3 and we’ll be able to build privateers. Guilds, Banking, Economics will only take a few turns and gives us a free Merchant and free market.

Delhi is already set to give up our next GP in only 9 turns, set those specialists so you get the kind you want.

A galleon is under construction to bring some maces to the other island and capture those barbarian cities.

This is the first time I’ve had a positive ratting with every body, the diplo victory should be a cinch. Part of it though is that many of them still don’t have contact. (We are the only civ Babylon has contact with!) Privateers should be able to keep it that way.
