I have been reading the AARs on this forum for quite some time now. I have also wanted to try an create an AAR for a long while. Here we go:
I have always liked this game a lot. The critics said it had a bad interface back in 98, but I still liked it. The sequel had nothing to do with this game. I think that anyone that can figure out Europa Universalis or Hearts of Iron, can play this game without trouble.
So this is a kind of tribute to it.
In the game you are the boss and plan your moves one week at a time. When you have planned what you want your hoods to do, you see them performing your orders in real time.
For the story element I am going to write each week as if it was one year.
I am playing the scenario Where angels fear to tread.
Lets get started. Here is the first 2 Chapters:
Prologue
Chaos has decended upon America. Organized crime is sweeping the nation and hardworking citizens are becoming targets.
And behind all this terror....GANGSTERS.
Nobody can touch them. They make their own rules. Ordering their hoods and minions to run riot throughout the city.
The police, the district attourneys, the judges, they are all powerless due to fear, or more often corruption.
And so the mayhem continues. Now the crimewave is threatening to move into our own proud city, New Temperance.
It looks as though we will all become the victims of this terrible enemy of the people.
New York, 1918
- Moving out with friends
The Great War in europe, is coming to a close. Jabberdau Khan is returning home from duty in the US army.
Having experienced the war, Khan leaves his family in the big apple and decides to try his luck in the city of New Temperance.
A couple of old friends decides to join the adventure.
Khan sets up business in Lower East Side.
