Gas Prices hit 99 cents a gallon today here in WEST MEMPHIS,AR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm.... After bottoming out here at $1.11 (north suburbs of the Twin Cities where I work, a little more in the city where I live), they've now took a sharp turn upward to the buck-twenties....

It's good though that the gas stations haven't taken advantage of our situation--that would be most UN-patriotic!

I've got a lot of love for Memphis, btw--I LOVE those blues clubs on Beale Street! Especially the King's (not Elvis, but B.B.'s place). It's a good city.

President Bush run's a "good" domestic policy on the gas and oil industrie, probably the reason why prices are so low. This is a bad developing enviroment for alternative energy. And it's bad for the enviroment in whole.Senator Bush has made texas one of the most polluting places in the world ,i wonder if he can do the same for the whole U.S. on the long term.

99cents a gallon? Pah! Our prices have just come down to 70pence a litre. That's still over $4 a gallon.

He's complaing about 99cents a gal? Whoa man, come see other places in Us like Denver where I bet it is up to about 1.40$ for 85( or was that 87) octance. Not your normal 89. ;)

BTW, here in Fayetteville NC it is 1.05$ which is damn cheap. IT was up to 1.40$+ around here when we peaked in prices. I say jack the prices all the way up and give us cleaner cars!

Sounds cheap.
Here the prices stay 1,18€/liter, altough Finland is the place where
the Russian oil is being moved to rest of Europe.

I'm not complaining i'm glad! :D
Right now it's back up to $1.06 it was at $1.07 for about a month or so now :)

I believe that a steady rize in gasoline prices, to closer to the Europeans levels, is need in the USA to reduce driven and encourage other alternative energy developement. Phase in slowly, it should have limited economic impact. Much of this should be taxes (hard for a part libertarian, part conservative to choke out that word) to fund mass trasit, alternative energy, and eco clean up.

Lucky pricks, here in Denamrk it costs about 8kroner's(1 dollar) for one liter!

Around Toronto gas costs about 60 cents (CAN) / Litre

CAN DOLLAR Is worth about 60 cents US dollar and a gallon is about four litres (i think)

so if my math is right were paying about $1.44/ per gallon (US)

We're paying about $1.10/gal just north of the Twin Cities.

That's about 29c for a liter (U.S. converion) of gas...

Where do you live, rmsharpe? I work in Brooklyn Center.

Lived in Forest Lake and Circle Pines when I was a kid, in St. Paul later, various places outside the state for a long time, now I'm here in Minneapolis.

Around 1.20 here round bean town..........

Theres a bit higher demand here than in arkansas......

After all, Suntzu and the boys get pretty good mileage on their tractors I bet :D

Actually its probably in more demand in my town than in Boston. West Memphis is the biggest truck stop in North America....i'm not proud to say that, but it is

Sun,
Why would you not be proud to have the biggest truck stop in America (you don't by the way)?

BTW, trucks primarily run on diesel fuel not gasoline....

I've heard there are a lot of really skanky truck stop sluts there... I had a buddy who's a trucker and that's what he told me. One of those skanks told him that she'll do whatever he wanted for 50 bucks--he told her his house needed to be painted!
