Either these two screenshots are from different builds and reflect an icon change, or she may have alternate models for each civilization.

I am trying to figure out on what they based her english model portrait. We already saw the leaked image for that, and that flower tiara doesn't seen fit to anything remotelly 12th century. They could used her sculpture on her tomb, no? I would like to see that head and neck scarf.

Yeah, a married woman in that period would not show her hair, but would wear a wimple or some kind of head covering.

Thanks! So they are not just the same type rotated, but different varieties. Didn't recognize it as that while watching the live stream. I hope there are even more.

LOL me too. They could provide -2 food and I would still put them on every tile in my empire. In fact I may just do that one game to see how it looks. Assuming they can be put in adjacent tiles. Imagine covering an entire continent with these. I may even skip building districts (may have a little trouble winning that game)..

Anything you can build on empty desert is better then nothing; I hope there are some different shapes for them, the swirls so far look a bit lacklustre compared to other IRL Nazca lines I've seen.

EDIT: Looking again more carefully, I can see that they are birds! Automatically one of my favourite city states! (but would still like other shapes like the spiders and monkeys and the condor)
