My cousin(14 years old) lives in russia and just found a store where they sell Gba games. He doesnt want to waste money so he asked me for recomendations but the last time I held a Gba was 8 months ago so I need help. I need recomendations.

*Coff* 50 games in one cartiage *Coff*
(My very young nephew got one from hes relatives as a present clearly illegal. it had five GBA games and the resr being old nes/gb games on the same cart)

I would recommend Advanced Wars 2 (though he might find it a little hard)

Advance Wars 2- Turn based strategy game that's easy to pick up, but incredibly deep. There was a time when I was addicted to it and ran around here shouting how that game is better than Civ. Still is. ;)

Fire Emblem- Strategy RPG, similar to Advance Wars in many aspects. Very deep storyline and character development, but not as much strategy. I personally enjoyed this even more than Advance Wars 2.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Zelda is always good. LttP is a remake of the old SNES classic, while Minish Cap is a rather short yet extremely fun new addition to the series.

Mario&Luigi: Superstar Saga- Hillarious game. Turn-based RPG although there are a lot of action elements.

Metroid Fusion
Metroid: Zero Mission

Fusion was my first GBA game, as well as my first ever Metroid game. Highly recommended. Zero Mission I enjoyed not as much, and it's extremely short. Older fans of Metroid will like Zero Mission more, though.

Golden Sun
Golden Sun: The Lost Age

Never played them, myself, but I have heard some good things about them. Traditional turn-based RPGs, I think.

I'm not sure how many of these games he'll find in Russia, and how many of these he's willing to buy. Definitely go for Advance Wars 2 and Fire Emblem, though.

I must say, for a great game for a while and outstanding replay value especially with friends, go for:
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
and/or
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity.
Both of these are great multiplayer especially and can be played single-pack.

Any of the Castlevania games (including the "NES series" one)
Golden sun or Golden Sun: the lost age
Fire Emblem
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Zelda: Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages. (They're for the GBC and have bad graphics today, but will work just as good as a GBA game)
Dragon Warrior III (Same as above; GBC game)
Tetris Worlds
Zelda: A link to the past
Namco Museum
and Metroid Fusion. All of my favorite Game Boy games.

Please don't be insulting, i completed that game when i ws 14, its hard but its not like he's 5 or something.

I preety much agree with Sliverflame, it may also be worth getting Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance, although its not as good as many of its FF peers :(
I definately reccomend Advance Wars 2 and Fire Emblem :)

Harvest Moon; Friends of Mineral Town is an okay game but it gets rather monotonous as you play more of it. But yeah Advance Wars 2 is also a good game.

P.S. I personally don't trust those 50 in 1 games. My folks gave me a 100 in 1 game but there was actually only 5 games in it that were differently named 20 times for each game. So instead of Super Mario Bros, there was Super Man Bros, Super Mario, Fantastic Man, etc.

FFTA is addicting, has nice colorful graphics, and a really good job system, but that's about all it has going for it. The game simply isn't tactical, there's close to no strategy whatsoever. Battles take too long, and after a minute the music really starts to grate on the nerves. The fact that the two most annoying tracks in the game happen to be the two most played songs doesn't help. The plot isn't horrible, but it's much lighter and isn't the main focus of the game. FFTA is good, but not great. And aside from the graphics and job system, Fire Emblem beats the game in every way possible.

Harvest Moon is also fun, and is really repetitive. Not really a downside of the game, oddly enough.

I bought Advance Wars numero Uno and liked it pretty much but is Black Hole Rising (numero Dos) worth getting? Yes, I know it has neo tanks, missiles (I think) and some other junk but what's all that great about it compared to the first.

Also, anyone heard of or played (preferably) Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lotis (something like that)? I thought it looked pretty cool in an ad but you can never trust those things. Thanks!

I don't own the first Advance Wars, just the second. They both follow the same formula, with the sequel only having a some new additions. The campaign is much better in that you play as pretty much all the CO's, and there's more objectives than simply route the enemy or capture their HQ. However, the story is a lot more basic, and the facial expressions during battle are gone. I'd suggest getting the sequel only if you're hungry for more Advance Wars. Otherwise, might want to save that money for something else.

I've heard good things about Tactics Ogre, but it's also suppsedly impossible to find. Never played it myself, so can't say much besides.

Yes, Advance Wars is rather difficult. The sequel is even moreso. And trying to get high ranks can be very frustrating. I still love the series, though.

Hmmmm ??? I'm either very lucky or very skilled ;) , i didn't find AV2 very hard except for a few levels, which i completed with high scores anyway. You just have to plan ahead and cover all the options. I probably had to redo the airforce vs cannons level the most and the third to last (i think) took me the longest.

Back on topic though, these are all good reccomendations, but how much does he have to spend?

It's funny on the original advance wars I would do the first battle map I think and do Max. You basically build tanks as much as possible and swarm the other guy. I would almost always win in about ten days or so, getting an S (or whatever is the highest) every time. I advanced the weirdly-named ranks but to no avail. Playing to work up ranks for absolutely no point somehow began to become stale...
