It's been noted before that the Giant Death Robot reminded some people of the Geth in Mass Effect, but after finishing my first GDR in a game last week, I wondered if other people noticed the numbers on the left side of the GDR (upper left arm); 228.
This seems like an obvious reference to Halo, to me at least, where the protagonist wears a suit of armor, and his call sign is John-117. Guess the GDR one-upped poor old Master Chief in every way?
