General Turn Discussion

Yeah, at least 36 points worth; not sure if the got CS before then though, but that'd still leave a minimum of 48 points, which isn't shabby for growth.

I'd be interested in seeing the world population percentage (I think it's in the F8 victory screen?). If someone could grab a screenshot of that to post here, that would be awesome...

here are some screens

Thanks Ronnie.

We have 39 pop points, Cav have 44, and are due another 9 or 10 from the HG...Cav got another 10K soldiers though. No idea where the rest are...

Alot rides on how we capitalise on our war wait Kaz...

If we were playing safe we'd want a couple of units in PM...alas, we're playing fast and loose with our defenses in the east atm.

AT, I'd expect all of them to be into military. Just pray they weren't overflowing into 3 eles...everything else we should be able to handle, but eles would make it difficult, we'd proabably have to just chop straight through TKY, after changing research to get construction and HBR asap.

On an unrelated note, either Cav just got the the Hanging Gardens or just grew all 10 cities at once...

The obviously lied about the forge and lighthouse.

Is HBR currently 1 turn to research at 100%? We could grab hbr on turn 109, and shift everything down by 1 turn if we were worried about it? Then we would have it the same turn as construction and could kick out elephants? It would delay music by 1 turn, but we would have it the same number of turns after we grabed poly, so there won't be any more time for them to react(and could confuse them into thinking that we spent those 3 turns putting % research into hbr).

Edit: actually I see it isn't, We could however put 2 turns into it on turns 108/109 and preload aesthetics only on turn 107. Then let the overflow from hbr ride into poly(110)->aes etc.

Ok still in the middle of playing.

But here is a snapshot. I say we advance all 3 chariots to force Kaz to pull that worker back! It isn't building a road so no HA or other unit could hit us. But it will scare them on thier next turn!

That forest is huge cover for us!

I also won't be ending turn until we hear back from Saturn.

I'm not sure. Kaz know that we would have to sacrifice all 3 chariots to take the worker, and even then might get unlucky.

Q: do any of the chariots have 5/5XP, but not 2 promos? We could sim it out and see if we could use the anti-siege promo to get odds on the cat, and still be targetting that instead of the axe.

If we could do that, I think I would favour moving the other 2 chariots in range, simply because exchanging a possible 2 chariots for an axe and a catapult is definately in our favour. DON'T promote though.

The problem with doing this though is that we cannot keep the forest; we are not able to get anymore units onto the tile. If we are going to try to raze that city (and I think we should...) then we may want to sacrifice the forest...that said, I am interested in destroying a catapult.

No we don't have a chariot that says 5/5xp. We have a STR1 Chariot.

We have no intention of taking the forst next turn...but Kaz doesn't know that. I want them to pull back all 3 units. If they don't the turn we get the road, Zurr has sick odds on the cat...but he unfortunately has to hit the axe first.

I say advance the chariots, but then don't attack, try to get them to pull back.

They won't retreat. They'll know that we would almost certainly have to sacrifice a sentry chariot to do it. Would we really do that? They could retreat the worker, but I doubt they'd do that due to knowing we can't get odds on them.

I thought we had a 5/5XP chariot...the one we brought over from OO/JD. Is that just a 2/5XP chariot? Bummer.

So far we have attacked them with ~50% odds....they think we are crazy.

I bet they retreat everything.

Either way, does it hurt to move the units there? They can't be hit. If they don't retreat oh well. If they do then great!
