General Turn Discussion

yes i try to do that. sorry sometimes it is off though as Civ saves my Single Player configuration.

You can see in the below picture there isn't a land bridge. We are isolated to the east. A workboat for the gold city clams can check for seafood there, but the road is best going through JD and the hills (works out as less work turns even if we try to power road though the hills).SNIP......

I was talking about in the North...where we NEVER uncovered all of the close coastal tiles.....the first of those 2 workboats came by some time back....I have some doubts that they sailed all the way from the South.

the timing works (from the south)

If Kaz is to our south and Cav is to our West.

That puts MS not exactly sure where

And saturn to our North.

It's only about 10-15 turns from our borders to where our axe is down south, assuming that there is a route, so it's quite possible. I'm also not completely convinced they are on our landmass.

Look closely. There is no land bridge in the north. The work boats came from the south.

MS are the only team with 4 cities.
The team with the most export/imports has 8.
Only way to reach 8 is 4*2, therefore the trade routes are not intercontinental traderoutes.
They don't have trade routes with us (no visible path to us).
MS are on our continent due to reaching us with a warrior.
QED Kaz and/or Cav are on our continent.

Again...I am not talking about a land bridge....

2 coastal tiles...1 from each landmass

We never even unfogged the coastal tiles closest to our landmass...it is quite possible that the boats came from the north....

It was one of the factors that was prescribed to the map maker...."galley contact"!

WOW WOW WOW

what a turn. We found both Kaz's Borders and Cav's Borders. working on update now.

Work plains hill in IS for +1 coin?

WHAT? oh no :( oops.

edit: wait i check it seems ok? we are working both plains hills in IS?

So MS must be in between them maybe???

And Saturn to the NW???

Memphus, please tell me you didn't work both grassland farms this turn :( That's a straight loss of two hammers for no reason other than trying to play the turn too quickly. Slow down...

Also, you probably shouldn't have shown Cav we have a woody 3 axes.

On the plus side, is that city south of Barentz a barb city? We need to head South with Barentz anyway, so we might want to see if we can raze that barb city on the quick for some gold and stop Cav from capturing it.

No I worked the right tiles. Check update :goodjob:

Well I thought about it...Normally I wouldn;t have move him there because of the risk of him dying...But sicne we have guaranteed Peace still he can get out of there. Then consider:
we are strong arming Cav right now with the WB, so why not sure we are right outside thier doorstep? Now we know where they are. If I was them and saw a WoodyIII Axe show up I would be a little more concerned then just the threat of the WB.

Yes and that is where I think we should go.

The update shows IS working 2 grasslands farms and 1 plains hill, when it should be working 1 grass farm and two plains hills. So I take it you mean that the update is wrong?

We knew before we moved that they have horses and hence chariots. Why would they be scared of a woody 3 axe?

Also, now they know that we will be able to build the HE later on in the game, and hence Literature will be useful to us later on. What may have been a possible trade with someone after the GL had fallen is now not quite so straightforward.

@Memphus: This one doesn't look right.

Hmmm Good Logic....

I am 95% sure I worked the right tiles and the update photo is wrong.

Reason Is I started to take the citizen's off again, but then dropped them back down for the screenshots (but didn't pay attention to where they went hence us working the 2 grasslands.) At this point i decided it was too much work to do this every turn (and the chance of errors increases)

Easiest Way to Check 100% is agaisn't the sim.
Edit: We are showing now +1 :food: and + 31 :hammers: next turn. (+6 overflow :hammers: I believe it was)

It doesn't really matter at this point because it is water under the bridge!

Next turn we just need to double check that we are working what we want to!
