Get the Pre-order Package from Amazon - Canadians need not apply

I just tried to pre-order the special pre-order Civ 4 through Amazon.com and I learned that they won't ship it outside the country. Alaska is further away than most of Canada and yet they still ship there.... Ugh oh well...

It simply not worth paying Ebgames exorbitant shipping rates for the special pre-order edition... So far I have to say I'm not terribly impressed with the distribution of special editions....

Yeah I phoned. They guy said there was no guarantee they could get the special edition - even if I pre-ordered it.

The guy I talked to at EB Games said that their Head office sends up the stuff that isn't sent to stores in the American market - which is why I'm not super optimistic about getting a special edition.

Same here in Ottawa, I paid the full price of $74.24 for it already. I hope they'll update it to the pre-order edition soon or else I'm going to get a refund.

The special edition is for people that pre order the game from selected retailers. It includes a few extras. Spiral-bound Manual, Soundtrack.

But unfortunately if you're not American. You may have difficulty getting it. You might be able to order through EBgames.com - but the shipping is very expensive....

I went into a gamestop (I'm in Wisconsin, they're in Iowa)... and pre-ordered Civ IV. I didn't specify pre-order edition or anything, but should I assume that's what I will get?
