Getting All Classical Era Great Writers?

I'm trying to figure out a way to acquire all Great Writers from the Classical Era(earliest era for Great People) in a single game.

I have read this: https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/the-mechanism-of-great-people.26276/

But still am at a loss of trying to figure out either:
a) a strategy that will allow me to get all Classical writers without mods.
or
b) the best way to mod the Great Writers so that they don't become archaic as quickly

As for the strategy, I have several obvious options to go for....
*beeline the Civic that gives you Theater District
**try to get all boosts
*spam Great Writer Points
*acquire the pantheon that gives extra GP for Theater
*Classical republic gives extra GP
*use Gorgo for the WildCard slot(used for Writer Points) and for Culture yields from kills

However, I can never seem to get more than 2 classical writers in time before the game moves on to the pool of Medieval Writers. Based on what I read in "The Mechanisms of Great People", I know that the World Age advances when 50% of civs reach that age(might be >50%, but I'm sure it must be 50%, because the game changes Writer Pools in a Duel game when I clearly have NOT entered the Medieval Age). So, If I play with only 2 Civs, the second my AI opponent beelines something in the Medieval Age, I'm screwed. I haven't played with lots of Civs, as I have no way to control what any of them do, giving me no assurance about whether or not this would slow down or accelerate the pace of the Ages; and I can't force any of them to help me acquire all the great writers either. I have tried experimenting with different game speeds, but nothing seems to help, I end up doing better on ONLINE speed than MARATHON, since it scales up the points needed for a Great Writer anyway. MARATHON just made it easy to get the Civic Boosts, which doesn't always help as much as I thought it would. So... anymore ideas??? Anybody want to just flat out rule this impossible? and move on to the next solution?

If in the event it is not possible, I would like to find an easy modification that I can make to the game files that would allow me to get all Classical Writers anyway; without being TOO cheap about it. Attempting to mod the Eras seems too difficult; I can't even find where the game handles Great Person Pools. Changing the Era of the Great People seems like an easy fix tho. Perhaps change 3 of the 4 Classical Writers to Medieval Era or later?

In case anybody is wondering I want to try and play a perfect Great Works Game, but there are a couple bottle necks that seem to make it close to impossible. One of those bottlenecks being these Classical Era Great Writers. There is also another bottleneck down the road, where I have to get an Archaeologist ASAP and dig up all the Ancient Artifacts ASAP before advancing World Age, thus losing the pool of Ancient Artifacts(assuming it works the same way)

The great people era is World Era +1, so to keep getting Classical GP after the first one, you need a majority of Civs to still be in the Ancient era. It seems near impossible.

I don't think ancient artifacts ever disappear. It's more than newer artifacts only appear later when you're 4 eras (I think?) after the era of that artifact.

The era of artifacts depends on the site: most of them are barb camps or tribal village from a ancient times. Others are based on battles taking place, so they may be more recent.

Try to capture other Civs' capitals and most of their cities so that they can hardly advance in era before they enter Classical era, but don't fully eliminated them since an eliminated Civ don't count.

Play as Russia, spam lavra, take Divine Spark pantheon and keep Congo out of the game. Possibly, Dance of the Aurora, instead of Divine Spark, might enable you to buy GW with faith.

Wonderful suggestion. With 1,500 faith, or 1,125 with Oracle you can purchase the first two.
For faith source, god of harvest is always the very best and reasonable one.
Since you wish to purchase with faith, China is better since it can speed up Oracle as well as doing more chop works for faith.

Hmmm. Good thinking. This might be a possible strategy! Hopefully, I'll have time to try it out this week. I actually have high hopes for this. I will try it on Duel and go straight for the jugular.

Yet more good thinking! You are right, Great People may be purchased with either faith or gold, not just earned with Great Person Points. I almost forgot about this route.

So far, you guys have highlighted...
Divine Spark Pantheon: +1 Great Person Point from Holy Site ( Great Prophet), Campus ( Great Scientist), and Theater Square ( Great Writer) Districts
Dance of Aurora Pantheon: The Holy Site District gets +1 Faith from adjacent Tundra Tiles.
Goddess of the Harvest Pantheon: Harvesting a Resource or removing a feature receives Faith equal to the other yield's quantity.
...as potential keys to victory. So, I should probably start looking into what I can do to maximize my faith whilst I race for the Theater District Civic. If I can buy at least one Great Writer with faith, that will get me 3/4 Classical Writers(I can get 2 at best by spamming GP).

Thank you for all the suggestions, it is all much appreciated! Please keep it coming.

Another thing is that with theatre square you can do its project to get atleast 5 GPP (probably more like 6-7), points toward writers. 2 chops should be able to finish a project, 3 chops maybe get 2 done. One worker can do 3 chops so that mean each worker can be worth around 10-15 GPP towards writers.

So 5 workers and 3 theatre squares should be able to get a writer out in like 3 turns or so.

Building the oracle also have the advantage of giving you insperation for drama and poetry.

Pillage the AI lands asap to stop pop growth since that determines science initially, get any of their builders and scouts to prevent eurekas.

I just made a small attempt at this with Brazil vs Athens. I conquered Athens, who didn't build anymore cities so I continued the game alone to see if I could get all the Classical Writers of course. After getting Homer, the next Great Writer immediately went to Murasaki of the Medieval Era.... yet neither my Civic nor my Tech tree has even touched the Medieval Era. What the hell... I only have 1 Tech from the Classical Era and 2 Civics for the Classical Era. What gives? Bug? Obscure circumstance? arg...

hmmm... maybe he could have touched Medieval before I conquered him?

I have done this more than once with Gorgo on prince
A good barbarian start and attacking a close CS and you are at theatres very quickly.
Half price theatres then bang into projects.
Wow, thank you very much for testifying that this is possible! I was about ready to set every Great Writer to ERA_INFORMATION...

So, basically....
Gorgo -for her +Culture = (1/2)Enemy Combat Strength, and her Wild Card Policy
Have barbarians nearby for Culture Bonuses
Attack a nearby City State or thwart a nearby Civ
Acropolis requires half the production cost
Go straight to churning out projects, probably aided by chopping trees.
And of course.... a good start.

A question: what was the speed you played on? Surely, the Culture bonus for Combat would be best exploited on Marathon, right? Or at least scale with the Game Length, so as to be more exploitable the longer the game is, I imagine.

It's not the speed so much as the difficulty and avoiding beelining. I think it was during OCC for culture at chieftain level.
You have to stop the era progressing.
