@Colonel, here's an excellent safety tip. Bus drivers often have poor eyesight and so won't see you when you're crossing in front of the bus. To maximize visability crouch down as low as possible and cross as close to the front of the bus as you can.

Well if there was such a thing as Death stars the later era plasma cannons and antimatter weapons could easily take them out! Chainguns will deffintly be in a lot of the earlier GDRs.

How we'll work the land? GDR's would do that and not humans? I think, humans will be needed to work the terrain and to add growth into a city, but the city itself should built only GDR units(except from human workers).

Humans will do it, but we won't see them doing it (except occasionally as background elements to an epic 3D rendered live-action Giant Death Robot superbattles) because working the land is boring.

Perfection, I must admit that your idea has been crafted out of undeniable wit and intelligence. You have created a species out of your boredom and you deserve a lot of credit. Not everyone is this easily able to manipulate genes and physical characteristics to their own liking. Not everyone is able to manipulate the minds of so many into believe that this idea would work. Perfection, if you were any less of a person, this thread wouldn't have lasted past the first post.

Now back on topic. If the main purpose of GDRs is to fight other GDRs...What happens when a country is the first to build them. Then wouldn't worldwide destruction happen and the game be over, thus minimizing the fairness of these great weapons of destruction?

Now as for your question, that's why Civ 4 starts in the steam age (eschewing all the "loser ages") at the dawn of GDR technology with the creation of the first incarnation of GDRs. In the beginning you battle it out with massive steam powered iron behomeths!

All countries can start out producing GDRs france is just first to get its special GDR.

If you've read the thread then you'll know that I've specificly mentioned submerible, floating, flying, missile, nuclear, rail gun wielding, artillery and mining GDRs. I didn't mention torpedos, but they'll be in most naval ones.

How the deuce did this thread get so long when innocent threads about frozen stop signs get shut down almost instantly in the OT? Given the context of which section it is in, this thread is far spammier.

Because, it has double ultimate awesomeness. It has the ultimate awesomeness of Giant Death Robots, and the ultimate awesomeness Perfection, Lord of the Awesome. Together they form an ultimatly awesome thread of utter awesomosity. This makes it 100% antispam the only problem is is some people just can't understand it!
